Growing up my father was a paper salesman. He had the first brick phone, the first laptop + we were one of the first families with a modem. While my father was pushing the pace using technology in business, my best friends father was pushing the limits of hardware manipulation + networking strategy. From age 10 on I was watching the web be used for both business + personal interest.

I have been actively participating in web + software trends for the last 12 years + for the first time in my life computer + Internet use has become socially cool. I remember a time when internet dating was appalling, using your credit card online was frightening + search engines had a hard time not turning a search for snowboards into porno. Now people are meeting spouses on social sites, consumers are buying the majority of their holiday gifts using online stores + search engines are so accurate they often correct you.

With this new surge of acceptance there is now a gnarly demand for Search Engine Optimization. There is now a desire to track every persons clicks using Analytics + Trends. People want RSS to syndicate their every desire to their every display. Now that people are starting to trust Ecommerce there is an endless need for Cart Methodology. Information Architecture is now actually being evaluated (you mean we actually have to give people what they want?!?) Viral Marketing can introduce a nothing + make it a something in a matter of hours. XHTML + CSS are being celebrated as the new digital canvas. AJAX + JavaScript have become the magic pixie dust to the web experience. Open Source Code + API's are allowing developers to wow developers not to mention make robust solutions very quick + inexpensive to implement.

Gosh darn... if this is what people want, it is a good thing I love to roll around in it like a pig.
